The Virginia Lottery today announced the winners and finalists of the fourth Redskins Mania second-chance drawings. Redskins Mania players entered their non-winning tickets for a chance to win once-in-a-lifetime Redskins VIP prizes. The drawings were held on October 9, 2009.
Elmer Park of Spotsylvania and Theda Peatross of Virginia Beach could be sitting in Redskins club seats until 2029 as finalists of the Redskins season tickets for 20 years prize. Seven lucky winners will be selected during an on-field halftime event at the December 21st game against the New York Giants. If chosen, they will receive season tickets for the next 20 years starting with the 2010 NFL pre-season and expiring at the conclusion of the 2029 NFL regular season. And if they aren’t chosen, they will still win season tickets for 2010.
David Fowler of North Tazewell watched the October 26 Redskins-Eagles game in a catered luxury suite at FedExField. He played host to 19 guests in the suite, including his grandson, granddaughter and other family members. David also received six purple parking passes and $1,000 in spending money.
“Everyone was telling me, ‘This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience,’ and it really was,” he said.
Milton Hilliard of Fort Washington, VA, Margaret Lappe of Midlothian and Morgan Lee of Fairfax already have next year’s tickets lined up as the newest winners of Redskins season tickets. They each will receive two club seats to all 2010 pre-season and regular-season home games at FedExField.
Redskins Mania players also won other fantastic VIP prizes including:

* Premium Club Individual Game Tickets (25 Winners Drawn)

* Entry to win VIP Travel with the Team to Dallas (Three Winners Drawn)
Four more second-chance drawings remain from now until March 26, 2010. The next drawing will be held on November 6, 2009. To participate, a player must submit a non-winning Virginia Lottery $50,000,000 Redskins Mania ticket available for purchase during the sweepstakes period. Players may enter by US mail or via the Internet.
Nearly 95 cents of each dollar spent on the Virginia Lottery by players goes back to the Commonwealth in the form of contributions to education, prizes and retailer commissions. Since 1999, all Virginia Lottery profits have been designated solely to K-12 public school education in the Commonwealth. In that time, the Lottery has turned over more than $4 billion for Virginia’s public schools. The latest annual profits of $439.1 million currently represent about 7 percent of state funding for public education in Virginia. In 21 years, the Lottery has sold more than $21.1 billion in tickets, awarded more than $1.1 billion in retailer commissions and paid more than $11.6 billion in prizes to players.
