Consent and Release Agreement
I hereby grant the Virginia Lottery (the “Lottery”) the irrevocable right and unrestricted permission to use my name, likeness, image, voice and/or appearance in any photographs, video recordings audiotapes, and digital images of me, in any advertising, including but not limited to, broadcast, telecast, web, print, social media, promotion or other lawful trade purpose or advertising platform or method.
I acknowledge that I will not receive any compensation for the use of such images, video, likeness, etc.
I understand and agree that such photographs and/or video recordings of me may be placed on the Internet. I also understand and agree that I may be identified by name in printed, Internet or broadcast information that might accompany the photographs and/or video recordings of me. I waive the right to approve the final product. I agree that all such portraits, pictures, photographs, video and/or audio recordings, and any reproductions thereof, shall remain the property of the Lottery.
I hereby release, waive, forever discharge, and hold harmless the Commonwealth of Virginia, the Virginia Lottery, their Board members, agents, officers and employees from any and all claims, demands, rights, promises, damages and liabilities arising out of or in connection with the use or distribution of said photographs and/or video recordings, including but not limited to any claims for invasion of privacy, rights of publicity, appropriation of likeness or defamation.
I have read this entire Consent and Release Agreement, I fully understand it, and I agree to be bound by it. I hereby warrant that I am at least eighteen (18) years old and competent to agree to this Agreement. By submitting my winner’s story, I also consent to receive recurring marketing messages to the email address provided.
Any dispute arising from this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the venue for the determination of any such dispute shall be in the city of Richmond, Virginia.
