Submit your K-12 student’s entry for a chance to have the artwork featured on thousands of thank-you notes!

Do you know a budding student artist? Encourage that artist to submit custom, original artwork for this year’s Thank a Teacher Art Contest! Entries will be accepted through January 31, 2023. The Virginia Lottery will select three winners – one each from elementary, middle and high school – to win an individual prize, and money and prizes for each winner’s school. Best of all? The winning artwork will be featured on this year’s thank-you notes that are distributed to thousands of teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week in May! In 2022, nearly 49,000 notes were distributed to Virginia K-12 public school teachers.

For the past five years, the Lottery has featured artwork from talented K-12 students on these thank-you notes. Check out this video of the 2022 winners.
