Two-factor authentication (2FA) requires that players verify a 6-digit code.

The Lottery soon will launch a new security feature for a player’s online account: two-factor authentication, which is abbreviated as 2FA

2FA adds an extra step when you log in to your Virginia Lottery account from a new device (and occasionally from existing devices). The goal is to provide the highest level of security for your account, and 2FA helps the Lottery do so.

When you log in and are required to complete 2FA, you will be sent a 6-digit verification code by email. In order for 2FA to work, your account information (email address, primary phone number and even mailing address) needs to be current and accurate.

Please log in to your account to confirm that your information is accurate. Please also make sure that the primary phone number on your account is for a mobile device capable of receiving text messages.

Finally, make sure that emails from the Virginia Lottery are not marked as spam, so you will not miss emails from the Lottery.

We are excited to bring this new security feature to your Lottery account. Thank you for having an account and playing Lottery games!
