• How do I enter the Happy Holidays Punch Card Promotion?
  To enter this promotion, you must have a Virginia Lottery account, be logged in to your account and opt in to this promotion. Once you opt in, the first punch card will be unlocked in your account. The objective is to complete punch cards to get a drawing entry or entries. You do so by playing eligible games and, in the case of Scratchers, scanning the tickets into your account (prior to claiming any prize won on the Scratcher).
• My password is not being accepted when I try to log in. What's wrong?
  Most likely, you haven't opened a Virginia Lottery account. You'll need to open an account to enter this promotion. Click Register in the top-right corner of any valottery.com page to register. Once completed, click the Continue button.
• I forgot my password. What should I do?
  Click Login in the top-right corner of any valottery.com page, and follow the instructions to have your password emailed to you. You'll need to use the original email address you used to open your account even if it is no longer current.
• Where do I find the barcode that I am supposed to scan to enter the ticket?
  You will need to use the ticket-scanning function in the Lottery app or on the mobile web version of valottery.com to scan the eligible Scratcher’s barcode. The ticket-scanning function uses your mobile device’s camera to scan the ticket.
• How will my eligible online-game purchases be recorded?
  When you play an eligible online game, your purchase will be reflected on your punch card automatically. There will be a delay between the purchase and when it is reflected on the punch card.
• I received a message that says my ticket has already been entered. How can that be if I have the ticket in my possession, and what should I do?
  First, check your list of previously submitted entries to verify that the ticket has not been previously entered by you. If it has not, please contact the Lottery by filling out the email form on our Contact Us page. Include all applicable numbers that you tried to enter, and the Virginia Lottery will investigate.
• May I enter a drawing more than once?
  In the promotion, the number of times you enter a drawing is based upon the number of punch cards you complete. The maximum number of entries for a single player’s account is 15.
• I have tickets, but I can't remember whether I have entered them into the drawing. How can I see which tickets have been entered?
  Each time you submit a ticket, a record of the entry appears in your list of entries at the bottom of the page where you submitted your tickets. All your entries are in that list, so you may cross-reference that list with the tickets you are holding.
• May I dispose of the tickets after I have entered them?
  Yes. For this promotion, you do not need to keep your Scratchers once you have successfully submitted them.
• Do I need to be a Virginia resident to enter this Virginia Lottery promotion?
  No. There are no restrictions for out-of-state players. Anyone who is eligible to purchase Virginia Lottery tickets is eligible to participate in this promotion.

• How do I find out if I have been selected as a winner?
  For all drawings, an unofficial list of winners will be posted on our website no more than five (5) business days after each drawing. Winners become official once we've verified they qualify. We check age, identification and entry validity. We will contact winners directly to explain how to claim a prize.
• I completed all five punch cards. Why didn't I win a prize?
  The odds of winning a prize in this promotion depend on the total number of entries received.

General Information

• The promotional period is December 3, 2024, through December 31, 2024, at 11:59:59 p.m. ET.
• The entry deadline is December 31, 2024, at 11:59:59 p.m. ET.
• Winning and nonwinning eligible Scratchers can be used to generate a required Scratcher punch on a punch card.
• Tickets must be purchased during the promotional period to be eligible for entry.

• Ticket entries for this promotion are accepted only through the mobile version of valottery.com or the Lottery mobile app and only via scanning the ticket’s barcode.
• A player also can earn a card punch by playing an eligible online game.
• Only a player who has not reached the monthly earned-points limit (10,000 points) for the Rewards program will be eligible to participate in this promotion.
• If a player completes any punch card or cards before hitting the 10,000-point limit, any entry or entries generated from the completed card or cards are valid and will be included in the drawing.
• This promotion is open to players 18 years of age or older. Players may be required to provide proof of date of birth.
• A player can complete a maximum of five punch cards in this promotion, which will generate 15 entries into the drawing.
• To complete a punch card, a player must purchase and scan two eligible Scratchers (prior to claiming any prize won on the Scratchers) and play one eligible online game.
• Players do not need to retain the Scratchers once the Scratchers have been entered.
• A player is eligible to win only one (1) prize in the drawing.
• All entries submitted have an equal chance of winning a prize.
• Odds of winning a prize in this promotion depend on the total number of entries received.
• The Virginia Lottery will not be responsible for entries submitted incorrectly or received before the entry start date or after the end date. Such entries shall be deemed invalid.
• We try to contact winners by email, phone and/or mail. If you want us to reach you quickly, be sure your contact information is up to date in your Virginia Lottery account. If we can't reach a winner by the deadline listed in the rules, we will then move on to an alternate.
