Drawings

The entry deadline for each drawing is 11:59:59 p.m. ET on the date listed under the Entry Deadline heading above. In each of the four drawings, there will be 100 winners. Each winner will win the following three prizes: $100, a $50 Online Play Bonus and $50 in vending credit.

General Information

• The entry period is December 12, 2022, through January 8, 2023, at 11:59:59 p.m. ET for the eXTRA EXTRA! Promotion.
• Non-winning Holiday Scratchers with the following game numbers - 2176, 2177, 2178 and 2179 - are the only games that are eligible for this installment of the eXTRA EXTRA! Promotion.
• Please check here for a complete list of entry dates, deadlines and draw dates.
• Entries for this promotion are accepted through the Lottery website and Lottery mobile app only.
• The eligible Scratcher must be entered into the eXTRA Chances promotion. That is the entry method. Once that entry process is complete, the ticket will be entered automatically into the applicable eXTRA EXTRA! Promotion drawing.
• Players entering via the Lottery website can enter both the ticket’s Promotion Entry Number and eXTRA Chances Web Code manually to complete the entry process. A player also can use his or her mobile phone to scan the Scratcher’s Ticket Number Barcode at valottery.com or in the Lottery app to complete the entry process.
• This promotion is open to players 18 years of age or older. Players may be required to provide proof of date of birth.
• A player may enter the promotion more than once as long as a different qualifying Scratcher is submitted. 
• Players may submit a maximum of 25 eligible Scratchers per day for this promotion.
• Players do not need to retain the Scratcher(s) once the Scratcher(s) has been entered.
• All entries submitted have an equal chance of winning a prize.
• Odds of winning a prize in this promotion depend on the total number of entries received.
• The Virginia Lottery will not be responsible for entries submitted incorrectly or received before the entry start date or after the end date. Such entries shall be deemed invalid.
• We try to contact winners by email, phone and/or mail. If you want us to reach you quickly, be sure your contact information is up to date in your MyGameRoom account. If we can't reach a winner by the deadline listed in the rules, we will then move on to an alternate.

eXTRA Chances Registration and Login

• My password is not being accepted when I try to log in. What's wrong?
  Most likely, you haven't opened a MyGameRoom account. You'll need to open an account to enter your ticket(s). Click Register in the top-right corner of any page to register. Once completed, click the Continue button.
• I forgot my password. What should I do?
  Click Login in the top-right corner of any page, and follow the instructions to have your password emailed to you. You'll need to use the original email address you used to open a MyGameRoom account even if it is no longer current.
• How do I update MyGameRoom account information? 
  To update any of your account information, please call (804) 420-9584.

Submitting entries from the website for eXTRA Chances

• I am not able to enter my tickets. When I click on Enter Now, I am asked to log in. Why is this happening?
  To enter this promotion online, you need a MyGameRoom account. To open an account, click Register in the top-right corner of any page. Once completed, click the Continue button. 
• Where do I find the numbers that I am supposed to enter?
  The Web Code is the 6-digit alphanumeric code found under the latex on the front of the ticket. The Promotion Entry Number is the 14-digit number found on the back of the ticket.
• I received a message that says my ticket has already been entered. How can that be if I have the ticket in my possession, and what should I do?
  First, check your list of previously submitted entries to verify that the ticket has not been previously entered by you. If it has not, please contact the Lottery by filling out the email form on our Contact Us page. Include all applicable numbers that you tried to enter, and the Virginia Lottery will investigate.
• May I enter a drawing more than once?
  Yes. You may enter a drawing more than once. Players may submit up to 25 eligible, non-winning Scratchers per day for this promotion. The eligible Scratchers are Holiday Cash Drop, Festive Bucks, Holiday Winnings and Festive Riches. However, a player is eligible to win only one (1) prize per drawing.
• I have tickets, but I can't remember whether I have entered them into the drawing. How can I see which tickets have been entered?
  Each time you submit a ticket, a record of the entry appears in your list of entries at the bottom of the page where you submitted your tickets. All your entries are in that list, so you may cross-reference that list with the tickets you are holding.
• May I dispose of the tickets after I have entered them?
  Yes. For this promotion, you do not need to keep your tickets once you have successfully submitted them.
• Do I need to be a Virginia resident to enter this Virginia Lottery promotion?
  No. There are no restrictions for out-of-state players. Anyone who is eligible to purchase Virginia Lottery tickets is eligible to participate in this promotion.  

eXTRA Chances Winners and Prizes

• How do I find out if I have been selected as a weekly winner?
  For all drawings, an unofficial list of winners will be posted on our website no more than five (5) business days after each drawing. Winners become official once we've verified they qualify. We check age, identification and entry validity. We will contact winners directly to explain how to claim a prize.
• I submitted several entries into the drawing. Why didn't I win a prize?
  The odds of winning a prize in this promotion depend on the total number of entries received.
